The Prospect Heights (IL) City Council approved a permit for Crown Castle to adjust its tower so that it can host additional wireless data carriers and meet network demand. Stipulations include utilizing a design that will enclose wireless facilities and using the existing pole. “Crown Castle heard two things loud and clear from the council. First that the council would like Crown Castle to explore a canister design or a design that would enclose the wireless facilities on the pole. And two there was a preference for using the existing pole rather than constructing a new wireless facility on that site,” said Karl Camillucci, an attorney with Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP who is representing Crown Castle.
