On Tuesday, AT&T announced that Chicago and Minneapolis are the next cities to receive AT&T’s 5G network, predicted to be available in late 2019. Late last year, the company technically launched its network in twelve cities, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Louisville, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Raleigh, San Antonio, and Waco. However, there is still no actual hardware that regular customers can buy and use with the 5G network. AT&T is promising phones for later this year — including two 5G devices from Samsung that could be announced as early as this week.
