City approves basic guidelines for new infrastructure to support 5G wireless networking
The Board of Aldermen in the City of Frederick, MD, approved basic regulations to install new telecommunications equipment in public spots. While the board is not "finished discussing specific aesthetic requirements," speedier wireless service is expected to be on its way to Frederick city neighborhoods. City Engineer Tracy Coleman "said she has been working with two wireless infrastructure providers – Crown Castle and Mobilitie – to install antennas in various spots throughout the city."
