Cloaking the wireless invasion—city, telecoms try to hide small cell antenna systems
As small cells will continue to be installed in Palo Alto, there is a debate over what they should look like. The issue began playing out following a proposal from Crown Castle to install seven small cell nodes in the area for Verizon. While Crown Castle wanted to place an antenna on each of the small cell node light poles, residents argued that the equipment should be placed in underground vaults.
