Policy Summit Panel Covers Nuances of a New Infrastructure Bill
The Wireless Infrastructure Association Policy Summit Sessions held a panel on the new infrastructure bill's expectations and funding possibilities for upgrades and new builds for broadband connectivity. Crown Castle VP of Government & Regulatory Affairs, Staci Pies mentioned one challenge Crown Castle is working to address helping cities develop federal grant programs for 5G and broadband. Pies said Crown is pleased to see the broad bi-partisan support for broadband. Pies stated, “The unique perspective of infrastructure providers is we’re not just providing service but we’re building the network not just for our customers but for other wireless providers.”
