Why Cambridge needs more wireless infrastructure.
Cambridge, Massachusetts is home to premiere universities, including Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and over 46,000 students flock to the city each fall. In recent years, Cambridge has exploded into a hub for the biotechnology and tech industries. This city of “squares”—a collection of small neighborhoods—has become the home to Google, Facebook, Microsoft and other cutting-edge companies.
Cambridge has a historic appearance with red brick and cobblestone streets, yet is a vibrant city that relies on fast, reliable wireless connectivity. Small cell solutions will add much-needed coverage and capacity across the city. Connecting Cambridge with the world, and the world with Cambridge, is essential for the continued growth of this not-so-little college town.

Where we've installed small cells.
Small cells are installed in the right of way, often on infrastructure like street signs, utility poles and streetlights. You may have walked by them before without noticing them. Working in partnership with city staff, we plan to enable improved wireless provider service while keeping Cambridge's character intact.
