Thirty Crown Castle employees helped the Olmstead Parks Conservancy staff of twelve people maintain Shelby Park in Louisville, KY. Crown Castle district manager Chris Gladstone said, "This is much better than what we do in the office. We certainly welcome the opportunity to get outside, especially on such a nice day, but we love what we do." The Crown Castle employees helped by planting trees, spreading mulch and pulling weeds, among other things. Matt Spalding, who works as an education and volunteer program manager for the Olmstead Parks Conservency said, "It's always an amazing experience. So many groups come out uncertain of what to expect and I do a little bit of education and park history." Councilwoman Barbara Sexton-Smith also stopped by the park and joined the group to talk about its efforts.
