Fiber installer seeks statewide code change
Crown Castle is using a new installation method called microtrenching, along with an association of cellphone service providers, and is asking the Colorado Legislature to help standardize building codes across the state to permit faster use of the new technology. Microtrenching allows for 3,000 feet of fiber to be installed in one day, rather than 1,000 feet in a week.
