Chief Equity and Social Justice Officer of Atlanta Public Schools (GA), Tauheedah Baker-Jones, wrote an op-ed on the uneven distribution of technology and access to information, further escalated by the coronavirus. Atlanta Public Schools plans to assess the extent to which COVID-19 exacerbated the inequities that already existed within its school communities, including the impact of the digital divide on learning and achievement gaps, and hopes to reimagine education through the lens of technology.
